Job description:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Purchasing
Ensures maintenance of effective internal controls to assure safeguarding of assets and reliability of financial statement.
Prepares monthly financial statements and ensures accuracy and timeliness.
Ensures compliance with any and all financial and contract reporting requirements for private or public funding, licensing, or regulatory agencies.
Assists in resolving accounting and financial problems and/or issues.
Ensures complete and up-to-date operating procedures for all accounting and financial controls.
Assists in the preparation of annual budgets and cash flow projections.
Meets with the Finance Committee of the Board as needed.
Ensures proper preparation for annual financial audit.
Reviews all receipts and disbursements, ascertains correct account distribution and ensuring all support documentation is accurate and in order.
Assists in preparing special cost studies as required.
Perform additional duties as requested by the Executive director and Board Treasurer.

Qualifications Required:

Thorough understanding of nonprofit accounting, bookkeeping, and financial management information requirements.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
Formal education in accounting required
Knowledge and experience with QuickBooks, preferably Enterprise
CPA preferred or demonstrated equivalent in education and experience

Adult Day Center

RN Consultant

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
Job description:
Friends for Life Adult Day Center is a Day Activity Habilitation Services facility.
We are contracted with Health and Human Services to provide activities and basic health monitoring.
The staff or RN consultant must provide four hours of consultation per week when individuals are present in the facility.
Document the consultation.
Review plans of care and suggest changes, if appropriate;
Assess clients’ health conditions;
Consult with LVN in solving problems involving client care and service planning;
Counsel clients on their health needs;
Train, consult, and assist the LVN in maintaining proper medical records, and
Provide in-service training for direct service staff.
Must be willing to participate in on-going training
One year experience in a human service or medically-related program
Prefer experience with individuals with disabilities and/or the elderly

Licensure
Must pass all required background checks
Must be a registered nurse (RN)
Must have a current license from the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas
Must practice in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and rules/regulations of the Board of Nurse Examiners
CPR certified

Job description:
Responsibilities: Provide personal care services, including:

dressing
feeding
toileting
vital signs
ambulation
exercises
Assist with recreational activities,
Encouraging clients to join activities,
Provide protective supervision,
Document care provided to each client and report all changes, both physical and mental, to the nurse, and
Embody the values of integrity, professional teamwork, and compassionate service every day.

Orientation and ongoing Training:

12 hours of training each year

Care Manager (Waco, San Antonio, & Beaumont)

Pay: $32,000.00 – $36,000.00 per year

Friends for Life is seeking a service-minded, committed, and professional team player to provide compassionate service to support the highest level, quality of life for elderly and persons with disabilities.
Requirements:
To be eligible for consideration the applicant must:

Be at least 21 years of age;
Be a high school graduate or possess the GED equivalent
Meet ONE of these additional qualifications: Have two years of relevant work experience related to guardianship.
Have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree conferred by a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board in a field related to guardianship.
Have completed a course curriculum or training specifically related to guardianship approved by the Texas Judicial Branch Certification Commission.

Assist in the management of the financial affairs of clients as assigned

Additional Eligibility Criteria for Initial and Ongoing Employment:

Clear state and federal criminal background checks.
Pass a certification exam and obtain Texas Guardian Certification within two years.
Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
Have a reliable vehicle available to you at all times.
Be willing to travel for work within the service area at least 50% of work time.

Life Skills

Independent Life Skills Trainer (Waco Area, Brazos County & Abilene)

Pay: $12.00 per hour

Job Description:
Life Skills Trainers provide one on one skills training for persons with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities living in nursing facility settings with the goal of increasing independence. Typical skills training includes activities that enhance socialization/ communication skills and cognitive skills; it is individually designed for each client served. No direct care responsibilities.

On the job training for the position will be provided. No certification required. No nights or weekends. Paid holidays and earned leave, even your birthday is a paid holiday. Monday through Friday but work schedule is flexible.

Successful Life Skills Trainers are creative and can work independently without direct supervision. You can really see the difference you make in the lives of the clients you assist.
