Our Programs
We serve as a representative payee and fiduciary for seniors and persons with disabilities who are at risk of losing independence due to the inability to manage financial matters.
We serve as a guardian for seniors and persons with disabilities whom the courts have determined are unable to perform basic life skills and have noone willing or suitable to serve in this capacity.
The Life Skills Program provides one on one training with adults with Intellectual Disabilities living in nursing facilities with the goal of increased independence and transition into a community setting.
We connect families with children with special health care needs to the resources, events, and support networks available in their own communities.
Volunteers help us ensure that seniors and people with disabilities can live independently and safely in their homes as long as possible through services such as transportation to medical appointments, grocery delivery, or small household repairs.
Volunteers help us to minimize the isolation and loneliness of seniors and persons with disabilities in our community through our different programs that include Friends For Thanksgiving, Gifts for Grannies and Grandpas Too and more.
The Life Skills Program provides one-on-one training to adults with Intellectual Disabilities living in nursing facilities, with the goal of increasing their independence and facilitating their transition into a less restrictive setting.
We teach people with intellectual and developmental disabilities how to learn, use computers, and read. We incorporate this into our Adult Day Care and Life Skills Programs and are working to expand to serve people from the community.
The Tool Shed thrift shop collects donations of used and broken tools. We clean and repair them with the help of volunteers and then sell them at 40-90% off retail price to support our work with seniors and people with disabilities.
