“Prevention 2 Prosecution: The Many Faces of Abuse” is a free, 9-part educational series designed to raise awareness and strengthen community response to abuse, exploitation, and fraud. Hosted by experts from law enforcement, social services, banking, advocacy, and the legal system, each session explores different aspects of abuse prevention—from recognizing predators and protecting assets to understanding violent crimes, financial scams, and emerging threats like AI and crypto fraud. The series takes place from August to November at the Area Agency on Aging in Waco, offering both in-person and virtual attendance options.

15th Annual Fall Festival for Children with Special Needs and their Families
It’s time for the 15th Annual Fall Festival for Children with Special Needs and their Families. The Fall Festival will take place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Central Texas Christian School, 4141 W. FM 93, Temple, TX. 76502.

Please come and enjoy face painting, crafts, wheelchair accessible hayride, ball toss, bowling, duck fishing, cake walk, food, prizes, pumpkin painting, numerous games, and more. Cost: FREE. Bring your cameras and capture fun memories with your family.
The Fall Festival is a collaborative effort of many community organizations that serve children with special needs and their families. See attached flyer. Feel free to distribute this information to families that have children with special needs.

Join us for the 2025 Nothing Downs Just UPs Down Syndrome Walk — a day filled with love, awareness, celebration, and community!

Interested in being a part of this exciting event? All vendors will be asked to bring a $25 donation gift for the raffle. The event is at a park so please bring your own table and chairs and have a fun activity at your table for kids to enjoy. Let’s make this a Day of Fun and Celebration for All.
