Thank You, Lawns Ltd. for your Landscape Donation!

Lawns Ltd., the premier landscape company of Waco, has done a wonderful job making our outdoor space at Friends for Life look like a beautiful garden.

A little over a year ago, Owner Lisa Torgersen, Josh Wible, Landscape Architect, and their talented team made and donated a plan to beautify our our parking areas, reception area and the beds alongside our building at 5000 Lakewood in Waco. We were very excited to be designated as the recipient of their 2016 “Giving Back to the Community” award.

“We were so happy to take on this project and be able to support Friends for Life.  They do amazing work for the elderly and people with disabilities. We wanted family members who drop off and pick up their loved ones each day, and the staff who work there to be proud of the facility.  I know we have achieved that.”

Lisa Torgersen, Lawns Ltd. Founder and CEO

The Lawns Ltd. creative team’s plan put together hardy, attractive plants that grow well here through our hot Texas summers, requiring minimum water and upkeep. Their artful arrangement of flowering trees and shrubs, native grasses, crushed granite, rocks and boulders create a welcoming environment.  Their gift includes a very effective irrigation system as well as ongoing, year round maintenance,  so that our faithful yard work volunteers can concentrate on assisting our Independent Living clients with their yard needs instead of working around the main building.

Inez Russell, Executive Director at Friends for Life, loves the fact  that the outside now reflect more of the joy and inspiration we see happening on the inside our Meyer Family Intergenerational Center every day.  Come see us at 5000 Lakewood Drive in Waco and let us show you our beautiful landscaping and the wonderful things God is doing at Friends for Life.

We appreciate you so much, Lawns Ltd.!
