Beverly Heaton has been the Estate Specialist for seven months.
What’s your favorite part of working with Friends for Life? “I think my favorite part has been working with people again and helping those who can’t help themselves. I have always felt that my “gift” has been one of service and I have always had a passion for providing the best service I can in whatever I do.”
How many clients do you serve? “Right now I have eleven who are assigned to me but I also help the other estate specialist with their clients when needed.”
Tell me a little about what you do at work on a daily basis? “Everyday is a new adventure, you might come in one day and deal with checking and making sure the bills you are paying are correct or maybe the client you have is running out of funds so you have to deal with selling any property they have before you can apply to get them on Medicaid. Then some days you spend gathering the documentation for Medicaid or VA renewals. Or you might do research to solve problems that pop up. Every client is different and has different needs. It has been very interesting learning about each one of the clients and about all the processes involved with each one of them.”
What do you do for fun outside of work? “Right now I have a 4 year old and a 3 year old granddaughter who are the loves of my life and anytime I get to spend with them if fun time. In November our son and his wife are expecting their first child so I’ll have triple the fun when it is born. My husband and I love to travel and have taken our daughter and son to Disney World and Disneyland several times and can hardly wait to take the grandchildren.”
