This work is made possible by people like you – – people who want to help us change lives. What we do isn’t hard as long as we focus on each individual person who needs our help. We’d like to help everyone who needs our help because we are providing services not offered by other nonprofits in the areas we serve. If we can’t help, they won’t get help. You can make a difference in the lives of the elderly and people with disabilities by making a contribution.
Each gift we receive helps us provide services to people in need. So many of our seniors are alone and in need of help to make it on their own. Your contributions can help comfort those in crisis, protect vulnerable people from abuse, neglect and exploitation, promote independence and self-sufficiency, and improve quality of life. Friends for Life is a 501(c)(3) charity and your gifts to help this work are tax deductible.

A Healthy Way to Help
After a lot of studying, Friends for Life has decided to sell vitamins to help fund our work. We are working with a company called USANA Health Sciences. They manufacture:
- award winning, pharmaceutical grade nutritional supplements
- a scientifically based, healthy, permanent weight management program
- skin care products that nourish the skin without chemical preservatives
- and healthy energy drinks
If you buy vitamins, nutritional shakes or bars, energy drinks or skin care products, would you please take a look at these. If you decide to buy these products from us, each time you do, you won’t just get exceptional products that you can trust, you will be helping Friends for Life serve the elderly and people with disabilities.
You can learn more about this, by visiting our USANA website at www.friendsforlife.usana.com.
Please consider Friends for Life in your will and estate planning. In your will you can insure that your estate is distributed as you choose. And, in addition to caring for loved ones, you can help elderly and people with disabilities who are in need by including Friends for Life in your will.
Stocks, bonds and mutual funds are common types of securities and you can choose to make a gift of securities to Friends for Life. In addition to helping Friends for Life serve the elderly and people with disabilities, you can claim the full appreciated value of the securities as a charitable contribution and usually avoid capital gains tax.
Giving from your Workplace
If you are a government employee, you can give through the Combined Federal, Combined State or Combined County Campaign and designate an amount you would like to have contributed to Friends for Life from each paycheck. Please call Norman at 254.772.8100 ext 102 for more information.
If your company has a Matching Gifts Program, they may match your contribution to Friends for Life.
Payable on Death Accounts
A Payable on Death Account allows you to designate who will receive funds upon your death. This designation can be made with banks, brokerage firms, retirement funds, etc. As the owner of the account, you have the ability to change or cancel it s you wish. Payable on Death Accounts are distributed more quickly as they do not involve probate.
Outright gifts to Friends for Life are tax deductible and can be cash gifts, pledges or planned gifts that generate income.
