We have a client that we are going to call Jim. Jim is 27 years old and has been with us for about 4 years. Over the years, Jim has had various behavioral issues which include acting out, being oppositional and defiant. As well as unable to clearly express his emotions in a positive and constructive manner. Utilizing a team effort with as many as five different team members, we have developed a healthy relationship with Jim. For the past year, Jim has been working diligently on social skills that have helped him to properly express his needs and emotions. It is now our goal, along with the provider and foster parents, to assist Jim in regaining his rights. He has begun independent living skills training, is looking for full time work, and is working towards understanding the responsibilities of adulthood. With the love and persistence that Friends for Life has given Jim; he now displays a mature and grateful attitude towards us.
